Rumah Cantik Citra

On a hot off day Friday, me and a friend decided to pamper ourselves at Rumah Cantik Citra - RCC. This is part of beauty campaigne program from the brand Citra for women who wish to have Citra treatment for our bodies. It was our first time visiting so we had to fulfill registration form and survey. No reservation for weekend. When we got there customers already in qeueu and we had to wait about 45 minutes. I’m glad in the back of the house there’s a mushalla (praying room) equipped clean sajada and mukena so we don’t leave salah obligation. Good!

Short Review :
  • Place : located on Jalan Sunda, Bandung.
  • Ambience : 2 floors house with garden at the backside, the lobby is spaceful with a registration desk, Citra products display glass racks, chairs for waiting customers. One of the sofa is very attractive because it’s pink, seems to be made for customes who want to take pictures while sitting on it :) The spa room is nice, soft wall paint colour.
  • Service : friendly staffs with white uniform, arranged manner and greetings. I’m not too satisfied with the massage (and it was too short only 45 minutes). The theraphysts clean up and re-make up the spa room after they did the massage while we changed clothes in the same time. A bit “crowded”, I think.
  • Product : Citra produced by Unilever Corporation.
  • Price : affordable, the packages priced between 20K – 90K plus you bring home 2 Citra products of your choice from body wash, body lotion or body scrub.

Shui Skin & Body Center

Shui is a beauty center which is in my opinion focused on facial treatment but they also provide complete beauty treatment from head to toe : body spa, various facials, meni-pedi and acupuntur (doctor available) involving modern machines. I usually have a spa treatment whenever I visit a beauty center and the place must be stricted  for women only. The main purpose only to relax and circulate blood by body massage. I focus on HEALTH NOT BEAUTY. On this Shui visit besides spa I tried aha facial and pedicure. I must say I’m not  a fans of facial and meni-pedi, that was my second experience for facial and pedi :)

Short Review :
  • Location : Grand Eastern Jalan Pasirkaliki right in front of Paskal Hyper Square
  • Ambience : 2 floor modern building, dominated by lime green interior except for spa area which is red
  • Product : Producing Shui products for all treatments
  • Service : Quiet friendly but I feel the therapists are all new and lack of training in how to treat customer’s face and body. I admit the pedi was good, the spa was only half-good but the facial was nightmare… rought massage during facial and spa (well, it’s relative, for some others perhaps it was a good one). And the facial, I was ok with process’ of cleansing, maskering, AHA-ing and so on but the taking the tiny pimples part on my face using a tool sort of large needle was very hurting. I had to ask the therapist to stop doing it and it caused a wound on my forehead (found this after I got back at home). When I had a spa I had a chit-chat about the facial treatment and she said if we want to be beautiful we must feel pain before. Well, sorry but I disagree missy… that would be my last experience for me to do some facial and spa there.
  • Price : 125K for spa, above 100K for various facials (the highest price for Gold Facial), around 50K for meni-pedi treatment. I duno the charge for acupuntur.

Kekayon

This is a quite new place in town and they claim as family reflexology and spa. When I entered the small lobby I impressed by the interior and the aroma! You will also get more impressed in the hall that connect the lobby and the main area. It’s the place with stones and row of feet washer. After my feet washed the therapist escorted me to the spa room. It’s a private room completed with tub. Nice… I chose sandalwood oil, green tea scrub and boreh mask for the 200 minutes spa treatment. Anyway, sorry  for the picts, I was using my handheld :)

Short Review :
  • Place : located on Jalan Setra Sari near the mall.
  • Ambience : it’s a sanctuary in the middle of city, peaceful with garden in the center area of kekayon and spa rooms with dim lights. But I think they should soften a bit the Balinese tunes that played.
  • Service : friendly staff, the massage was like a semi-reflexology to me :)
  • Product : self-made products. I like the scent of oil and body-mask but the scrub and face-mask were scentless
  • Price : a bit pricey but the place are beautifully spaceful.

Poetre Wax & Spa

Pampering myself by enjoying a 120 minutes spa (Javana head-to-toe massage + green tea scrubbing) at Poetre Wax and Spa. The place was originally a big house modified to a spa place, so there are no partitions with beds but large rooms with 2 beds each inside with a bath room. Quiet comfortable and private. One of the spa owner is Wulan Guritno, Indonesian artist. Poetre head office and branches are in Jakarta with several branches in other cities include Bandung.

Short Review :
  • Place : located on Jalan Reog I no 5 in the middle of housing area, easy to find as it’s near main street.
  • Ambience : medium music were played (Balinese, soft modern piano intrumentalia, and sounds of birds chirping) while treatment, dim light.
  • Service : friendly staff and theraphyst with their Balinese wardrobe, the massage and scrubbing was very detail, special attention in head massage (other spa probably only give a short massage on this body part).
  • Product : home made products distributed by Jakarta head office, I love the scent they’re smell so good, soft and relaxing.
  • Price : standard, 120 minutes spa priced 175K
Note : pict taken from Poetre adv. material

Guene Vienna Spa

Pampering myself on weekend at Guene Vienna Spa, I tried reflexology and traditional massage with hot stones. Yumm…I think this is one of a great spa service in town.

Short Review :
  • Place : located on Jalan Ciliwung, spa and boutique in a same building.
  • Ambience : big red curtain partition, medium music volume, dim light, comfy, shower room is separated but every the spa room has quiet large space.
  • Service : friendly staff and theraphyst, nice massage, we can choose to have a cup of hot tea or hot ginger drink.
  • Products : they said the products are supplied from Bali, and imported for certain products.
  • Price : standard, worth the price in my opinion. If you are a student or on your b-day you will have 50% discount.

Note : I put the picts from Guene Vienna’s advertise material, I didn’t take any picts :)
