I’m not sure if there were a significant relation
between what I feel inside and dull weather outside these past weeks. I face
grey clouds, a long rainy days sometimes heavy rains pour from the sky. I like
rain , better than a dry over-warmed days. Listening to the rain drops and breathing
the scent of soil and grass. Though, perfect weather for me is a sunny day but
its sunshine trapped by giant white clouds. When it rains, people sometimes
remind themselves for a melancholic moments. Imagining things through the water
outside the house. Drawing assorted shapes from the mist formed on surface of
the window glass. Or just catch some fantasy dreams in sleep like flying to the
moon. Others probably just awake pampered by a cup of hot chocolate, books and
DVDs while a cat purr beside. Luxury.
Rain falling is amazing. Allah SWT explains rain
in Qur’an verses as stated below :
"And He who
sends down (from time to time) water from the sky in due measure, and We raise
to life therewith a land that is dead. Even so will you be raised (from the
dead)." [Az-Zukhruf:11]
"We send down pure water from the sky. That with it We may give life
to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created, cattle and men
in great numbers." [Al-Furqan:48- 49]
"And We send down from the sky rain chartered with blessing, and
We produce therewith gardens and grain for harvests." [Qaf :9]
Beautiful…Subhanallah wal hamdulillah…
PS. Floods did happen in several areas apart from
my neighborhood. It is our failure to take care the land and environment. Trees
are gone, exploitated. Rivers are poisoned by industrial chemical waste and
trash everywhere. Nature cries and demands human’s love. Please be aware to our
earth we live in.
