Kota Baru Parahyangan, a housing estate with itsTown Management held an
event called “Bdg Mooi ! Festival Bandoeng Baheula” on 28-29 April 2012 placed
at Koridor Bandoeng Tempo Doeloe. This is the area where the houses and shop
arcade styled as antique buildings like the atmosphere in Bandung year 1920-1950
with leafy boulevards.
And
so the festival was held to bring the ambience of old time Bandung. I enjoyed
the festival from its unique snacks, music performances, old fashioned
radio-toys-bicycle-vehicle-book-camera and much more. Talents with traditional wardrobe, artists
painted sketches and mural on a wall,
history experts talked about the past of Bandung, kids played traditional games
and so on. Altough it was not a strong past time West Java ambience because of
moderns tents and lack of Sundanese language spoken, this was such a different
way to spend a weekend.
